Dr. Sheikh was born in Montreal and raised here in Guelph since the age of 5. She has chosen Guelph to raise her family and open her dental office.
After completing her highschool education at Centennial C.V.I., she ventured off to McMaster University for a degree in Honours Chemistry. She then completed her degree in Dental Surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School. She graduated dental school with honours. She received the Thurber scholarship for clinical excellence in Dentistry. Dr. Sheikh then completed a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Here she gained experience in Hospital Dentistry, periodontics, dental implants and orthodontics.
Soon after returning to Guelph, Dr. Sheikh went into private practice in Cambridge, Brantford and Kitchener. She has also worked part time at the Public Health Children's Dental Clinic in the Region of Waterloo.
Currently she maintains a private General Dentistry practice with a focus on Family and Implant Dentistry.
Her scope of practice includes cosmetic dentistry, surgical placement and restoration of dental implants. She is trained and has successfully completed reconstructive full mouth therapies including the All-on-four dental implant bridge.
Dr. Sheikh volunteers in the Waterloo-Wellington area and with the Ontario Dental Association.
